Getting started: install and activate

Install VisoDrive on your vehicle's screen from a USB stick and activate it with a 12-character code. The whole process takes less than 10 minutes.

01Before you start

  • A HAVAL H9 2025 with the original head unit.
  • A USB stick with at least 50 MB free.
  • An internet connection for the head unit, once, during activation (the vehicle's Wi-Fi or your phone's hotspot).
  • Your VIN: it is on your vehicle registration, and the app shows it on the activation screen.

021. Buy

Buy VisoDrive from the store and enter your vehicle's VIN (17 characters). The licence is tied to that vehicle. After payment you receive an email with your activation code in the form ABCD-EFGH-JKLM. It is also on your order page.

032. Download

On your order page, tap "Download app". The page downloads the latest version, checks it, and saves it as a single file. Download it to a computer or phone, then copy it to the USB stick.

043. Install

  1. Start the vehicle and keep it in P.
  2. Plug the USB stick into the USB port under the screen.
  3. Open the file manager on the screen and tap the VisoDrive file.
  4. If the system asks to allow installs from this source, allow it and go back.
  5. Tap "Install", then "Open" when it finishes.

054. Activate

  1. The first time the app opens, the activation screen shows your vehicle's VIN. Check it matches the one you entered when buying.
  2. Enter your activation code (upper or lower case both work).
  3. Tap "Activate". This needs the internet once only. After that the app works offline.
  4. When "Activated" appears, the home screen opens.

065. Permissions

  • Location (required): for prayer times, arrival points, trail back and finding your light controller. Your location stays in the vehicle and is never sent to anyone.
  • Display over other apps (optional): only if you want the floating shortcut.
  • Brightness (optional): only if you turn on automatic brightness.
